Cretaceous Crusaders - Polymorphic Games/Michigan State University - Educational ResearchA viral evolution game with gameplay as a shrunken submarine inside the body of a dinosaur, fighting off an evolving swarm of virions.
  • Continuous evolutionary simulation of a haploid virus.
  • Collection of data on a digital genome and display using “Gene Genie” graphing tools.
  • Poster presentation at 2017 Evolution conference in Portland, OR.
4D Lens slice shader - University of Idaho Virtual Technology and Design - Data VisualizationTo visualise Russian permafrost data from Siberia, I created a custom Unity shader to allow viewing inside objects, similar to cutaway diagrams. The inside cutaway of the object was colored based on a 4D (3D over time) dataset.
Project Hastur - Polymorphic Games - Top down shooterA top down survival shooter built to incorporate authentic biological evolution and epidemiological data into gameplay as an infection zombie shooter.

3D Design and Fabrication
Friesen Lab at Washington State University
  • Design and fabrication from scratch of low cost 3D printable peristaltic dosing pump to meet accuracy requirements of microbiology research.
  • Design and fabrication of 4 pump/motor control circuit and circuit board.
  • Coding of arduino to control dosing and dilution rates of chemostat system using peristaltic pump.
  • Design and fabrication of 96-well tube masking holder tray for use during assays.
  • General management of small scale design and 3D printing of laboratory tools.
